I Got Tagged!
And since I’m all pau work… I decided to do this since Ola aka Aleksandra was willing to tag me!
8 favorite TV shows
1. Gossip Girl
2. Burn Notice
3. Life
4. The Mentalist
5. Avatar the Last Airbender
6. The Wiggles (Zoe is enthralled by these over-the-top guys)
7. Myth or Bust (Josh and the kids watch this a lot on the weekend)
8. Heroes (waning interest… we’re behind a few episodes, I think)
8 favorite RESTAURANTS
1. Benihana (since childhood, but haven’t been in a long time)
2. Taco Bell (truly the cheapest place to feed the family without breaking the bank, plus they feel empowered with all the choices since you have to get at least three things to get full. Oh, and they helped Josh and me stay alive in college.)
3. In n Out Burger in CA (miss those french fries and animal style burgers)
4. Fiesta Azteca (for the fried avocados and they’re just down the street)
5. Lupe Tortilla (Susie took me here once and they have awesome fajitas.)
6. Todai (over by Ikea… mmm swedish meatballs at Ikea are good, too)
7. Ling’s Chinese Buffet (they have fresh, huge strawberries on the dessert buffet… worth it!!)
8. Whataburger/Subway (we hit these joints as a family a lot)
8 books you’d RECOMMEND
1. The Time Traveler’s Wife (one of my all-time favorites not for kids)
2. Inheritance Series (Eragon, Eldest, Brisingr)
3. Twilight Series and The Host (it really is sci-fi for those who don’t like sci-fi)
4. Harry Potter Series
5. Jason Bourne Series
6. Fablehaven Series & Candy Shop War (same author)
7. Saving Fish from Drowning by Amy Tan (read this one a while back and it was a good read)
8. Big Gap series and stuff by Jodi Piccoult is usually pretty good.
8 things that happened YESTERDAY
1. Finally finished some work for Josh’s company… overworked my inner salesperson which is really non-existent, hence the overworked part.
2. Zoe started clapping on her own for the first time whenever we said “Yay!”
3. Watched TV with Josh – it was nice because last week we didn’t watch any TV at all since we were both so busy.
4. Washed the Dishes – seriously, does it ever end?
5. Started a new book, Wizard’s First Rule (The TV Series “Legend of the Seeker” is based on this book and I’ve got it on the Tivo, but haven’t watched it yet.) Edit: The book was OK, but the show was JUNK! I was done 30 seconds into it.
6. Zack and Seth took a shower. They don’t unless I tell them to and then I forget sometimes… so banner day when they are clean.
7. Josh’s Ffundercats shirts came in the mail. He’s doing a podcast with two other guys he met on friendfeed. www.friendfeed.com/ffundercats
8. The kids got their school pictures! They all look very nice. Sarah doesn’t like hers, however, and says we can’t put it up. I told her that was the point of pictures so she should do the retakes in December which she really wants to do, but says she won’t because she’ll be mixed up with a bunch of 7th and 8th graders. So? So, all 6th graders are freaked out by 7th and 8th graders according to Sarah. So I told her to make a choice. I don’t think I’m going to make it when she actually hits the teenage years. This pre-teen stuff is for the birds.
8 things to LOOK FORWARD TO
1. The next couple of weeks have no deadlines since the ladies in the office are going on a cruise – I hope I can go on the next one with my family. Zoe should be old enough by then… depends on where they’re headed. Last time Josh and I went alone on the Western Caribbean cruise.
2. Finding a doctor. Gotta find out once and for all if I am diabetic… I think I’m borderline. My blood sugar is almost always over 100, but never over 140.
3. DUh! The Twilight movie comes out next week! I’m going to the midnight showing with a bunch of ladies from church. We are all borderline fanatics. It will be fun to get the crazies together. I was supposed to go with Sarah, but she is heading to a birthday party that weekend at The Movie Tavern and that’s what they’ll be watching. Hey, she dissed me first! I’m only forgiving her because I’ll be seeing it before her. Heh heh.
4. Sarah growing up a little to babysit responsibly. Josh won’t give the OK for her to babysit for other families on her own until he’s satisfied she can do a good job with our own kids. (read: when she can not kill her brothers when they push her buttons)
5. The next Harry Potter movie… even though I don’t have HP on my brain, I’m looking forward to seeing the movies as they come out.
6. Really looking forward to the next installment of the Inheritance Series.
7. Getting my hearing aids fixed! Gotta build up the HSA fund since the kids all got their flu shots and Josh got saw a doc and got meds for his Bronchitis (ugh!).
8. Getting money from home insurance people so that we can get our roof fixed. We’re waiting on the public adjuster guy to do battle with them and then get us a check in the mail.
8 things on MY WISH LIST
1. A Laminator – don’t need one, just want one… that’s what wish list means, right? I have a tiny one already, but I want one big enough to laminate over 12 inches.
2. All of the cookware by Pampered Chef… this one is my next big purchase when we have money lying around.
3. Fixed hearing aids!
4. A new cell phone. I’m sure Josh will take care of this when our contract is up next year.
5. An extended life battery for my new laptop.
6. Knee high socks from Target.
7. Time, money and energy to put up pictures on the green wall in our living room.
8. Maid service.
8 things I LOVE ABOUT FALL
1. The best weather in Texas at this time… no A/C or heater on yet = no money down the drain.
2. Halloween – it’s all about the candy for me… thanks Zoe! I pimped my 10-month-old at Trunk or Treat last month. (No wonder I’m probably diabetic.)
3. Being able to take a walk without wilting… Laurie, Susie, Kim and I need to get a schedule going… I would love to get in shape… my shape is resembling the apple fritters from Shipley’s Donuts that I love so much.
4. Thanksgiving food – mostly if I don’t have to cook it… Josh? You frying this year? Maybe we should go to your moms, eh?
5. Drinking hot chocolate, wrapped up in a blanket with a book.
6. Shopping.
7. Wearing long sleeves and socks.
8. No mosquitos when the cold fronts come in.
8 people I TAG
1. Lan
2. Brooke
3. Nancy Fancy Pants
4. Robbin
5. Kelly
6. Kristen
7. Betty
8. Juli

This tag must be going around a lot cause I just got the same tag from a diff. friend.
Oh – and also… you only have two things on your wish list? No more? common! You must have more things that you wish for! Right?!*%@$#!
Hey Nance, I saw that you already had this up after I posted… so that’s OK.
Yeah, I got tired of trying to figure out what to put there and I ended up posting this a whole day late, so I figured I’d just post it and add to it later… as of right now, the only thing I can think of is new hearing aids… or to fix the ones I have. Ignorance is bliss, but I’m tired of not being able to hear. Gotta get those fixed!
