Tie Bows
We recently discovered that it is possible for Zoe “to be any cuter” by simply adding a bow to her hair.

I also realized that my aunt-of-the-year trophy is in need of a good polish since my niece Kaia had her third birthday eleven days ago. There is little about Kaia that needs improvement, but I decided that a couple of pairs of handmade bows wouldn’t hurt. (Notice she isn’t wearing one in the photo.)

Here are the fruits of my labors from burning the midnight oil last night. These two sets are for Kaia.

I was shocked that I managed this organza one and very pleased with how it turned out.

And these two are for Zoe to wear whether or not they match her clothes. I’m not ready to take the cuteness that far. Some people would never recover.

Thanks to Susie for teaching me this craft. I’m pretty surprised by my skills… it still takes all my concentrating powers (if I do this in front of the TV, I miss the show) and lots of starting over just to get one step done, but I think I’m ready for more instruction. When is the next tie bow class using corkscrew ribbon?
BTW, I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again… she should sell these online. Susie’s Etsy Shop would blow doors. Truly.

these bows are adorable!! if you only just learned this, what a great feat. your baby is just too precious with her big eyes.
btw, are you revamping your site? when i first looked on your page, it had no links and i had to click on the FILED under link to see your other old posts?
ahem…photo credit? That first pic is amazing. I took it and she was smiling at ME!
That makes me the luckiest daddy in the known universe!
Josh the lucky daddy took the first picture which I cropped because you included me in it with a mouthful of cookie. I took the second one (cropped again). And the third one I stole from my brother Steve’s myspace pics (and again I cropped). All the other pics of bows I took without cropping at all.
Ok – how freaky is this? I was just up all night last night making bows for my 7 yr old – I’ve started some school shopping and found this adorable green shirt… Anyway I had to make bows right away in fear of not getting them done by the time school started…
Anyway, looks like great minds are thinking alike…
Your bows are soooooooooo cute! For real! I love them. And your precious babe is so cute. I can’t believe how big she’s getting!
Loved the bows, and the Shirley video. Too funny. Looking forward to seeing how this new blog shapes up.
